One Year in the U.S

Wanderer has been living in the U.S. for 11 months. Living in the U.S. is totally different from before. Now, many behaviors and things I used to are that Wanderer has adapted by a long period of time.

Atlanta Bread    If this is my lunch, there is the other meaning for this lunch, to say goodbye. There must be some other place, but Wanderer only knows where the fast food restaurant is in the airport in Atlanta. In the other word, when I eat this, I always see my friend off in the airport. Sometimes it was sad, and sometimes it reminds how much time I have before I leave the U.S. (Photo by Wanderer)

My best friends in my room   In my room, I always spend more time on my desk than my bed. I remember that one of my classmates had a presentation about time management. At that time, She asked us what kind of schedule we hoped and what kind of schedule we chose. All of us hoped we could have more sleeping time, but chose the schedule which was less sleeping time to study. (Photo by Wanderer)

My favorite clothes   Someone told me that people with different age have different kind of clothes. I think that it might be true because I have more and more shirts now than last year. (Photo by Wanderer)

A pair of shoes   Before I came to the U.S., I never thought that I would make many friends who came from many different countries. It was interesting to me, because I started to realize how huge this world was and how many different cultures we had. (Photo by Wanderer)

A French roommate  Living in the U.S., I find some different things from Taiwan. One of them is that there are so many international students in the school. In Taiwan, there are only few international students in the campus. However, for example, I have 7 roommates, they came from 5 countries. Actually, culture shocks sometimes are interesting. Vocabulary list    To memories new vocabulary is a difficult job, and to keep vocabulary is another. Of course, to know how to use the new vocabulary is also a hard job. I always fight to my vocabulary list. (Photo by Wanderer)

The red trees    I like the trees with this color, red, and the other thing interesting to me is that I have never known which color they would become until fall. That made me think that we never know the ending if it hasn’t ended yet. (Photo by Wanderer)

My cellphone    It is not smart, but it is a bridge for me. To connect someone I never met, to chat with my friend, to send message to ask what homework we have today. I use it a lot. I think this is not only American culture, but this is also the culture of the world. (Photo by Wanderer)

Sometimes, living in a different country with a new life style is painful, but it is interesting to me. I have learned a lot and finished many things for this 11 months. I have also opened many windows in this year. If you can choose, do you like to open your windows to find this world?
