Wanderer in Seattle

Before Wanderer went to Seattle, which is voted the best 10 cities for living in the U.S., my friend told me it rained a lot in October and November. When I was in Seattle, I found Seattle was not only a rainy city, but also a cloudy city. However, I couldn’t complain about this anymore because the weekend when I was in Seattle, it only rained in the first day. I think I was lucky because I had two beautiful days on that weekend.

The Seattle Airport   Actually, I lost my way a period of time here. (photo by Wanderer)

Seattle is a very beautiful city, and other area around Seattle, too. There are a great of beautiful flowers in the summer, and many places for thousands of people to go skiing in the winter. However, wanderer only stayed in town, I will talk about some very famous places in Seattle. I mean those places where every visitor should go.

The Seattle Central Library    This building is so much style, and it is very close to my hotel… haha.. (photo by Wanderer)

The Pike Place Market is a well-known farmer market. It was built in 1907, more than one hundred years!! People can find a lot of fresh fish, fruit, and product here. Many famous restaurants and stores can also be found here, including the first Starbucks, the Pike Place Chowder, and fly fish show!! If you want to know this market more, you can join the food tour. You will know more history and eat more kinds of food in 2 hours. You can book in this website: http://www.savorseattletours.com

The first Starbucks  This Starbucks is the original one but not located on the original place. The original place was in the Pike Place Market. However, it doesn’t matter that where it is, thousands of Starbucks fans come here and order a cup of coffee to finish their hope. (photo by Wanderer)

The mugs    Yes, if you are a crazy mug collector, you may need a car.

The Pike Place Chowder  This is a 16 o.z. one. When I was there on 12:30, the bread bowl was sold out!!! It would be cuter~~ Orz (photo by Wanderer)

The Pike Place Chowder  This restaurant has gotten many dishes… no.. awards from 1990s. (photo by Wanderer)
Fly fish show    The original reason is that there were only 2 person working here at that time, so they needed fish to be able to fly from one to the other. (photo by Wanderer)

The Golden Pig   Maybe this is its main foundation (all wrong~~~). The purpose is for people to donate. (photo by Wanderer)

The Golden Pigs on the roof      You know… X’mas is coming~~~~~(photo by Wanderer)

The Boeing Company, one of the biggest airplane factories, is located on Seattle. When Wanderer was a kid, I have heard that elders talked about how huge the Boeing 747 was. When I saw the 747 in the factory, it was really pretty huge, haha. If you ask me how to book the Boeing tour, I will tell you the easiest way is to ask you hotel to book it. Actually, I booked the tour for one minute after I checked in my hotel. The bus will drive to your hotel to pick you up. It’s pretty easy!!!

The Boeing Company    If I don’t say anything, this looks like an airport. Actually, there is really an airport here. (photo by Wanderer)

Taiwan National flag    Someone says if Boeing hangs the National flag in their company, it means that company has bought more than 100 airplanes!!! (someone is me) (photo by Wanderer)

The Washington University is another highlight in Seattle. We can find many historical buildings in the campus. You will feel like that you are in Europe. It is very easy to go to WU, even though WU is 4 miles from downtown, just take the buses 71, 72, and 73.
WU campus    This is really like in another country. (photo by Wanderer)

WU campus    It is only 4:20 pm!! (photo by Wanderer)

WU campus    It is so cute, but please don’t ask me why….. (photo by Wanderer)

WU campus    I believe there should be some meanings, but I don’t know. (photo by Wanderer)

The Space Needle, built for the 1962 World’s Fair, is the well-known landmark in Seattle. It is located on Seattle center, but not center of Seattle, J. So…I will recommend you to go the top of the Space Needle in the evening because you can see the day view, sunset, and night view of Seattle. The other way to see the view of Seattle is to go to the Kelly Park. You can go there by bus ( 2 & 13 ). The Kelly Park is one of the best places that can take skyline of Seattle photos.

Skyline of Seattle  The Kelly Park is a very small park, but there is the one of greatest views in Seattle. (photo by Wanderer)

Night of Seattle    It is also in the Kelly Park…. Different feelings between day and night. (photo by Wanderer)

The Space Needle    Many people take same pictures here… ME, TOO!! ^^ (photo by Wanderer)

Another view of Seattle   This is not the Mount Fuji in Japan. This is Seattle. (photo by Wanderer)

Night view on the Space Needle    we can see more downtown on the top of the Space Needle. (photo by Wanderer)

Maybe I should come back this city again in summer and then I think I will know why people always say Seattle is a beautiful city in four seasons.
